If you’re someone who loves the beach but hates crowds, pick up your towel and head on over to the fine sandy beach of Treasure Island, just across the street from our resort. Enjoy the sun, sand and the mellow waters of Florida’s Gulf Coast. This is where the pirate treasure from which Treasure Island first got its name was buried. Here you can stroll on the boardwalk or at the waters edge or simply lay on the beach and enjoy the peace and quiet of our favorite beach.
CHILL OUT IN CLEARWATER
With shallow waters, wide open spaces, and fine sand, the Clearwater Beach is definitely a must-see. With its name ringing true, the beach’s turquoise water is the perfect playground for families to enjoy together. Rated as the nation’s #1 beach in 2018 on Tripadvisor, Clearwater Beach offers enticing water activities like jet skiing and parasailing for the excursionist within you. Once the sun sets, the beach’s fine restaurants are the perfect place to unwind from an adrenaline-filled morning.
Madeira Beach’s 2.5-mile-long stretch of sandy paradise is perfect for enjoying some summer bliss from morning to night. Revel in water sports, go fishing on the docks, or take part in dolphin watching in the morning. At night, head on over to John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk for all the shopping, dining and nightlife you could ever ask for. If you make it in time, you might just catch John’s Pass Seafood Festival in all its delicious glory. For a livelier night, head to Bamboo Bar on Village Boulevard for a tiki-themed twilight with live music and icy cocktails.
Sunset Beach is mainly known for its exquisite wedding venue and picture-perfect scenery. Its white sand and clear waters also make it an absolute seaside charmer. The beach community is very welcoming and hospitable, making it a plus for families. Explore Bohemian-style tiki huts and beachfront bars, and don’t forget to catch some sunsets, for which this beach is famous. It’s also known for being one of the best shelling beaches in the world, so enjoy collecting some unique specimens along the shore.
Long walks, sunbathing and swimming are what the doctor ordered at Upham Beach. Its emerald-turquoise waters are a sight for sore eyes and the shells on the shore are a collector’s dream come true. Relax to the sound of lapping waves and seagulls chirping, or go surfing or boating until you spot some dolphins. If laying back isn’t your forte, consider a game of volleyball in one of the beach’s wide-open courts. The cherry on top would be the ice-cream parlors and restaurants that are a walking distance from the waterfront.
