Fall is in full swing, and the hoards of summer visitors have long since come and gone.  That said, life is anything but slowing down in our beautiful little corner of Florida. Halloween is only a couple of short weeks away and, shortly thereafter, the state will start to get into the holiday spirit.  In the meantime, there are plenty of other fun activities and festivities to look forward to. If you happen to be a live music lover and are planning a stay with Treasure Bay Resort and Marina early this coming November, then you are in luck.  November will be a great month for music in the area. Below are just a few of the shows we are most looking forward to this month – and these are just in the first 2 weeks!

Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett

Saying Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett are music legends is anything but an overstatement.  Good friends and both individually members of the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame, both Lovett and Keen have turned out album after album and hit after hit throughout their decades in the country music industry.  On November 2nd, the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater will play host to these old-timer country giants. If you are familiar with them, you know this show isn’t one to miss.

On November 8th, head over to The Mahaffey Theatre in St. Petersburg to check out the multi-platinum and Grammy nominated Daughtry – led by American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry.  His 2006 self titled album hit number one on Billboard and this rocker hasn’t looked back since. This show will prove to be a great reminder that rock music is anything but dead.

Brian Wilson

2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Beach Boys’ album Pet Sounds – one of the greatest rock albums of all-time.  On November 10th, Ruth Eckerd Hall is lucky enough to play host to one of the masterminds behind the album, Beach Boys founding member Brian Wilson.  Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin as well as The Pet Sounds Orchestra will be accompanying Wilson on stage to bring this legendary album to life one final time.

Typically, autumn is a great time to catch your breath in our part of Florida for both  locals and guests alike.  Summer visitors have trickled off, and those visiting now are generally looking for some quiet and relaxation before settling into their winter  routines.  However, this November may not be the time for it!  This November we have a virtual laundry list of high profile musicians and fun concerts coming through town.  The above three are just a select few happening within the first two weeks.  Visit the link below for a more complete list of who else will be playing during your November visit to Treasure Bay Resort and Marina, and don’t forget to pack your dancing shoes!
