41st Annual John’s Pass Seafood and Music Festival

Each January the John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk hosts one of Florida’s largest seafood celebrations. After New Years, head over to Madeira Beach from January 13th – 15th for endless gulf seafood dining options, arts and crafts vendors, live music, and everything in between. U.2.0 (a U2 tribute band) and country group Southbound 75 will be headlining the main stage at this year’s festival.
St. Petersburg Shrimp and Music Festival

If seafood celebrations are your thing, and you are missing the John’s Pass festival above, have no fear! A few weeks later – from January 27 – 29th – St. Petersburg will be hosting its 5th annual Shrimp and Music Festival. Similar to that above, this event is full of incredible food options, vendors, and music all day long. As a family-friendly festival, kids under the age of 14 can attend for free! St. Petersburg, by itself, is one of many Florida locations certainly worth a visit.
The Return of The Glenn Miller Orchestra

Arguably the world’s most famous big band and swing dance group is returning to the Treasure Island area on January 22nd and will be playing a concert at the Mahaffey Theatre in St. Petersburg. First formed in 1938, the different iterations of the Glenn Miller Orchestra have been wowing audiences for over 80 years and are guaranteed to get you moving. If seeing more live music happens to be your New Year’s resolution, do yourself a favor and start with The Glenn Miller Orchestra in Florida this January.
26th Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival
To add something totally unique to your Treasure Bay Resort and Marina vacation, stay right here in Treasure Island on January 14th for the annual Kite Festival. This one-day event showcases kite demos, stunt kites, a kite ballet, and flying lessons, and promises to be entertaining for the entire family.
29th Annual St. Pete Beach Corey Area Craft Festival

If cottage industries and quality crafts are your things, head over to St. Pete Beach on Saturday January 7th or Sunday January 8th for one of our favorite January events. Each year, over 100 of the nation’s best artisans converge on this small beachside community for the Corey Area Craft Festival to showcase their wares. From handcrafted jewelry and art to plants and spices this free event is a wonderful way to spend a relaxing January afternoon.
