Each time November comes around we have to pinch ourselves as holiday season has yet again snuck up on us. While some people dread the holiday season, we have found that folks in Florida genuinely look forward to it each year. We still get to enjoy our famed sunshine and beautiful weather but now there are countless other festivities to go along with it. December is the perfect time to plan a trip to Treasure Bay Resort and Marina, especially if you are hoping to add a little spice to the holiday season. Below are three of our favorite month-long holiday celebrations spitting distance from your accommodations at Treasure Bay.
Winter’s Wonderland at Clearwater Marine Aquarium
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is one of Florida’s finest for a variety of reasons – not the least of which are its efforts in education, rescue, rehabilitation, and release. From now until early January, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium adds even more to its arsenal with their Winter’s Wonderland celebration. For the next month, the aquarium is decorated in full holiday flare, themed habitats included. If you’re lucky you may even catch Santa and his elves diving in Mavis’s Rescue Hideaway. If the underwater world is at all interesting to you, be sure to pencil in a stop this holiday season.
Christmas Town at Busch Gardens
Florida has become the default amusement park capital of the country, and if that is of any intrigue to you be sure to swing by Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay to soak up some added holiday fun. From November 17th to December 30th, one of the best amusement parks in Florida will incorporate Christmas Town into their standard offerings. Enjoy the holiday lights, visit with Santa, eat some holiday treats, and enjoy some of the general magic that accompanies this time of year while simultaneously getting your thrills around the park.

Holiday Lights in the Gardens
The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida are worth a visit from Treasure Bay Resort and Marina any time of year but for the next month they, too, have an added flare. If you are drawn to flowers and plants, stop by the botanical gardens before December 30th and enjoy the million plus holiday lights, decorations, and displays that help to bring an added holiday spirit to the facilities.

Florida may not be on the top of everyone’s list as a place that goes all-in for the holidays, but one visit in the coming months would quickly change people’s minds. Whether you already have a Sunshine State vacation planned for the coming months or are looking to get away, Treasure Bay Resort and Marina and the surrounding area promise to provide all the holiday festivities you can handle. So what are you waiting for? Pack your stockings and head down south!
