As with many other places around the globe, we especially look forward to New Year’s Eve and all of its associated festivities. First Night in Downtown St. Petersburg
Arguably the areas most all-encompassing New Year’s Eve celebration, First Night St. Petersburg boasts something for everyone. One December 31st, head down to downtown St. Petersburg and enjoy live music, dancing, performance art of all varieties, and plenty of games and activities for the kids. It is undeniably one of the better celebrations on this side of Florida and, if you can’t quite decide what you want out of your New Year’s Eve, First Night is the safe bet for a broad party that will appease everyone in your group!

Light it Up on Clearwater Beach
If you are hoping to build your own evening of celebration for New Year’s and want to cap it off right, look no further than Clearwater Beach’s annual Light it Up fireworks display. Fireworks have become a staple of New Year’s Eve all over the country, yet few places offer the opportunity to watch a world-class show with your feet in the sand! Enjoy a nice dinner or night out before heading to the beach, craning your head skyward, and watching the Gulf of Mexico get illuminated by this local’s favorite fireworks display!

Go Big at the Shephard’s New Years Party
If you are looking to cut a rug and party into 2019, then the annual New Years Party at Shephard’s is your best bet. As the biggest party on Clearwater Beach, and one of the biggest in the area, you are sure to have a good time enjoying the many different venues within the venue all working to send 2018 out with a bang. Complete with live music and DJs, there is no better place to take your group of friends to toast the coming of the New Year.
