September is just around the corner, but the fun is far from over at Treasure Bay Resort and Marina on Treasure Island. Beach season is still in full swing. It’s a great time to get away from your regular grind and sink your feet into our white sandy beaches.

Books at the Beach – September 8th to 10th

Whether you’re an avid reader or just looking for your next beach read, this convention is a great way to discover your next favorite author. General admission is free and gives you access to Saturday’s 4-hour book signing, plus a tote filled with swag (provided you register in advance). There are also paid ticket offerings for those who’d like to spend their Friday mingling with and listening to the event’s authors.
German American Society Oktoberfest – September 30th to October 15th

Your whole family will love this celebration of German culture. Hosted at Pinellas Park, this event gives you the chance to savor typical German food, beverages, dances, and games. The menu offerings range from schnitzel to sauerkraut, and you won’t want to miss the Apfelstrudel (apple strudel). And, of course, you can choose from a varied selection of imported Bavarian beers.
Gulfport Boulevard Block Party – September 24th
11:00am to 3:00pm
If you want to explore local shops and culture, come out to this monthly block party. Participating stores host the party in their courtyards. You can enjoy pop-up art displays, live music, and refreshments, all while supporting local small businesses.
Cocktails on the Courts – September 24th

St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club
Travel back in time at this 50’s-themed night hosted by St. Petersburg’s Museum of History. There will be music, a 1950’s fashion show, and a live art demonstration, along with appearances from Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Add in the shuffleboard and unlimited Florida cuisine and cocktails, and you’ve got yourself a wonderful night out on the town.
