May is the perfect month to travel to Florida. It is warm, but not too warm. It’s busy, but not too busy. And it is a month for celebration with Mothers Day, Cinco De Mayo and…International Wine Day of course! We hope you are as excited as we are as we suggest some of our favorite events this month!

Experience Tampa Bay Rays Baseball as the 2022 regular season is fully underway in May! Defending their 2021 AL East Division Championship, the Rays are among the favorites to win their division again and compete once again at the world series!

Enjoy a perfect 72 degrees inside Tropicana field while trying St. Pete’s favorite eats with local concessions. There is also something for the little ones here with a 10,000-gallon Rays Touch Tank and various games throughout the stadium.

Madeira Beach Market

Just over John’s Pass Bridge, a short car ride north is beloved Madeira Beach. Throughout May, the Madeira Beach Farmers Market will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM every Wednesday. Just a step from the ocean, the Madeira Beach Market features artisan vendors, live music, and lunch bites all in the Florida open-air.

We recommend making this trip to hang out with the locals and feel the Madeira vibe!

Pro Tip: Visitor parking is free at City Hall (300 Municipal Dr, Madeira Beach, FL 33708) and Winn Dixie (15200 Municipal Dr, Madeira Beach, FL 33708).

Whether you want to take a stroll in an open-air market, cheer on the defending AL East Champs, or build a bouquet with your loved ones – it can all be experienced within minutes of your Treasure Bay home!
