Support Local Markets near Treasure Island Beach and your Florida Resorts

Many folks who go on vacation to Clearwater hotels or other Florida resorts enjoy doing a little shopping during their stay.  The resort communities around Treasure Island beach are full of neat boutique stores and souvenir shops but if you time it right, there are many neat farmer’s markets and craft sales in the area as well.  June is the month where these types of gatherings tend to restart after taking a winter hiatus. If you are looking for a unique shopping experience while staying at Treasure Bay Resort and Marina or a Clearwater hotel, check out these fun options near Treasure Island beach.

St. Pete Indie Market

Just a short drive away in St. Petersburg, and conveniently located in front of Green Bench Brewing Company, the St. Pete Indie Market is a great place for the shopper with an eye for creativity and local flare.  This monthly market boasts over 80 vendors selling local art, jewelry, crafts, and more. Many food trucks are also present, providing an easy way to make this an all day affair if you so choose. Hosted on the first Saturday of every month from 11am – 4pm, and starting June 2nd, this is a must visit for local arts and crafts aficionados.

The Clearwater Farmers Market

Whether you have a kitchenette in your Florida resorts or not, exploring the Clearwater Farmers Market is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.  Also kicking off on June 2nd, this market runs every Saturday from 10am to 4pm until the end of December.  Boasting an incredible array of local food and produce, the Clearwater Farmers Market is a great way to stock up on local groceries for vacation or simply grab a bite to eat as you explore this fun community just a short drive from Treasure Island beach.

Brocante Market

Also restarting on June 2nd, the Brocante Market in St. Petersburg is a sight to behold.  This market is held the first weekend of each month and houses wall-to-wall vintage treasures.  Vendor-run, the 15,000 square feet of shopping is sure to showcase a vintage collection the likes of which you’ve never seen.  If shopping is on your vacation agenda, and you will be around for the first weekend of the month from now until November, be sure to check out Brocante Market!
