Visit the Tampa Bay Blues Festival while Staying at Treasure Bay Resort and Marina

Admittedly, most folks who visit Treasure Bay Resort and Marina on their Florida vacation do not come for the music.  Beaches, seafood, sunshine, and relaxation are cornerstones of any Florida vacation but, if you plan on visiting Treasure Bay Resort and Marina the first weekend in April, consider penciling in a trip to St. Petersburg to see how Florida does the blues!  On April 6th, 7th, and 8th, the Tampa Bay Blues Festival will take St. Petersburg by storm.  If you’re in the area, this is one festival not to miss. The Beautiful Backdrop Vinoy Park

Whether your Florida vacation plans fall on the first weekend in April or not, we always recommend our visitors spend some time in Vinoy Park.   Located on the water near downtown St. Petersburg, this park boasts ample greenspace and amazing views. From April 6th – 8th, it also provides the perfect backdrop to listen to some worldclass blues musicians in the warm Florida sunshine!

A Starstudded Lineup

Blues music comes in all shapes and sizes, and musicians find inspiration from all types of sources.  As such, the lineup for this years Tampa Bay Blues Festival is dripping in talented artists all eager to get you dancing and keeping time to their unique take on this timeless genre.  Headliners this year include Buddy Guy and Robert Cray, but the music line-up top to bottom is sure to help transform this trip into the best Florida vacation ever.

The Afterparties

While the Tampa Bay Blues Festival is worth a visit in and of itself, the party really gets going after hours at two of downtown St. Petersburg’s best music venues.  The Ale and the Witch is a fun and vibrant outdoor courtyard and the Ringside Café is a classic and energizing club.  Both venues will host live music starting at 10:30pm and go late into the night, and admission is free! If you are looking to dance the night away or simply soak up some live music while staying at the Treasure Bay Resort and Marina but don’t want to fully commit to the festival, this is your chance!
